Bienvenidos! Welcome to Quito and the family adventure of a lifetime.  Your Chill Expeditions bilingual guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel to settle in. Share a delicious dinner as you acclimate to your new surroundings.
Overnight: Quito Area

Day 2: Exploring our Seas, Isabela Island

After an early breakfast, head to the airport to fly 2.5 hours to the enchanted Galapagos Islands.  You land on the Island of
Baltra and hop on a small plane to head to the stunning island of Isabela.  After lunch, dive into your Galapagos adventure with some amazing snorkeling at Concha Perla – keep your eyes open for penguins and sea lions that love to play in these calm waters.
Overnight: Isabela Island

Day 3: Sierra Negra and Volcan Chico

After breakfast pack your lunches for a hike to the Volcán Sierra Negra and Volcán Chico. Sierra Negra is the second largest volcano on the planet. Recent lava flows host emerging flora and bird life. On a clear day you can spot the sea and the surrounding volcanoes. For a late lunch you visit an incredible tortoise reserve. By midafternoon you will be back to enjoy and relax at the beach.
Dinner on your own.
Overnight: Isabela Island

Day 4: Lava Tunnels & Finados, Tortoise Breeding Center

After breakfast you will be transported by boat to visit one of the best snorkeling spots Isabela has to offer. Enjoy world-class snorkeling through a maze of lava bridges and tunnels set in crystal clear turquoise water. This area offers a condensed combination of many defining features of the Galapagos – the crystal clear waters, unique lava formations, native birds perched on the rocks, and of course abundant marine life.
You will enjoy a box lunch on the boat and then return to your hotel to trade in flippers for bicycles. Enjoy a leisurely bike ride, stopping along the way to visit a tortoise breeding station. Continue on your bike ride and then short walk to the Wall of Tears to learn about its haunting history. This is one of the best ways to see the Muro de Las Lagrimas and learn about the local history and the arid zone ecology of Isabela. Tortoises can be spotted along the way. Cruise back along the scenic beach at sunset.
Overnight: Isabela Island

Day 5: Sea Kayak and Beach!

Today your adventure begins exploring with sea kayaks at Punta Estrada and Divine Bay.
Through the crystal clear water, you can explore along the lava tunnels where it is easy to encounter white tipped sharks and rays. Head back to your hotel for lunch. The afternoon is open for you to enjoy the beach or explore the tiny town.
Overnight: Isabela Island

Day 6: To Santa Cruz, Charles Darwin Station

After breakfast we take a quick flight to the Island of Santa Cruz.  Once you arrive to Santa Cruz, your first stop is a visit to the famous Charles Darwin Research Station, a nonprofit organization that conducts scientific research as a means of promoting the conservation of the wildlife and natural resources of the Galapagos Islands.  Among their many projects is the protection and breeding program of the giant land tortoises.  After an early lunch, you drive toward Primicia’s Farm, where you have the opportunity to observe the magnificently primitive giant tortoises roaming in their natural habitat! Part of this property is also a series of natural lava tunnels, extending nearly 300 meters, which are faintly illuminated to allow you to travel through them for an experience like no other!
Overnight: Santa Cruz

Day 7: North Seymore Island

After breakfast take a short drive to Itabaca Channel where we get to on a Boat to the island of Seymour Norte.  This Island is a famous spot to see colonies of ocean birds like nesting Frigates Birds and Blue Footed Boobies, to name a few. This is also home to a thriving population of sea lions and their pups as well as land iguanas. Some of this good fortune is due to the park’s land iguana reintroduction program. Lunch will be aboard ship while you cruise toward a famous beach: Playa Las Bachas and its salt marshes.  Dinner tonight is at the best restaurant in town: the Angermayer Point.
Overnight: Santa Cruz

Day 8: To Quito/Home

After a last leisurely breakfast, begin your trip back to the mainland. Head home with memories to last a lifetime!
